TellDoug does not set any HTTP cookies on your device. We do not use cookies for tracking, analytics, advertising, or session management.
TellDoug uses your browser's localStorage — a local storage mechanism, not an HTTP cookie — to hold your sign-in session, preferences, and any log entries written while you're offline until they sync. The keys we write are:
vetlog.session.v1 — your cloud sign-in session token (required for authentication)vetlog.queue.v1 — medical-log entries you added while offline, held here only until they sync to your cloud recordvetlog.consent.v1 — your consent preferences (AI reading, reminders, research sharing)vetlog.onboarded.v1 — a flag to suppress the first-run welcome on return visitsThese keys are essential for the service to function. They do not leave your device except as part of an API request to our servers (Supabase) when you are signed in. They are not shared with any third party for advertising or tracking purposes.
TellDoug runs no web analytics and no behavioural tracking — no page-view beacons, no third-party analytics scripts, no device fingerprinting, and no advertising. The app's Content-Security-Policy restricts scripts to TellDoug's own origin, so a third-party tracker could not load even if one were added by mistake.
Our static files are served by Cloudflare Pages (a content-delivery network). Cloudflare processes standard request logs to deliver and protect the site; TellDoug does not use it for behavioural analytics. Cloudflare acts as a processor under UK GDPR; their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
You can view and delete localStorage keys using your browser's developer tools (usually F12 → Application → Local Storage). Clearing localStorage will sign you out of TellDoug. Your cloud records will not be affected.
To delete your cloud data, use Your data & privacy → Erase everything in the app.
